Crazy Color® is ready to use: nothing to mix, no peroxide. It deposits colour and fades in 10-12 washes. Here is how to get the most out of it.
Before: patch test and strand test
Patch test: 24 hours before, every time. A drop behind the ear or inside the elbow; if it reddens or itches, do not use the dye.
Strand test: a hidden strand, same processing time. See the true colour on your base before doing the whole head.
Base: full colour comes on bleached or light blonde hair. On light brown it is a tint. The official chart for each shade is on its page.
Application in 5 steps

How many bottles
Short: 1 bottle. Medium (shoulder): 1-2. Long or thick: 2-3. Each bottle is 100 ml. Six bottles = free shipping.
Making colour last
Cold water for the rinse and for the following washes.
First shampoo as late as you can; then gentle shampoos, not too often.
A teaspoon of dye in your conditioner at every wash refreshes the colour.
Sun and chlorine fade it: a hat, and wet your hair with fresh water before the pool.
Blue fading towards green? Pinkissimo in your conditioner neutralises it.
Toner at home
Silver, Platinum, Marshmallow, Ice Mauve and Rose Gold work as toners on light blonde and platinum hair: diluted with conditioner, 5-10 minutes, they remove yellow or add a tint.
Removing colour
Frequent warm washes with a clarifying shampoo. Being semi-permanent, it fades on its own in 10-12 washes.
Real questions, real answers
Do I need to bleach first?
For the full bottle colour, yes: the dye deposits colour, it does not lighten. On a dark base you get a tint. The shades that show most on brown hair: Bordeaux, Sapphire, Ruby Rouge, Cyclamen, Pine Green, Aubergine, Vermillion Red, Fire, Pinkissimo.
How long does it last?
Up to 10-12 washes. Cold water, a late first shampoo and a little cream in your conditioner make it last longer.
Does it damage hair?
It is a semi-permanent cream with no PPD, ammonia or peroxide: it does not lighten and does not alter the structure like a permanent dye. It contains sunflower seed, raspberry seed and avocado oils. The 24-hour patch test is still a must.

Short: 1. Medium (shoulder): 1-2. Long or thick: 2-3. Each bottle is 100 ml. In doubt, two: you’ll use the second for the touch-up.
